Nikon D5200 Vs D7000: Comparing The Features

By Alvin Sanchez

Different kinds of cameras are released almost every year and the models are mostly just an enhanced version. However, people are still going for new models just because it is new and they are not paying attention to the features. While this kind of thing is very common to most buyers, there are also some who are more concerned on the features like photographers and other professionals. If you are considering Nikon D5200 vs D7000, below are some of the features that you need to look at.

The Sensors of the Models

Well, the D7000 only has a 16-megapixel sensor while the Nikon D52500 has a 24-megapixel sensor. Normal people will think that it is a big difference so it may cause them to buy the new one but the truth is that the difference is not even noticeable when you check the images. If you won't look at the picture closely, you won't even see any difference.

LCDs of the Two Cameras

Based on the Nikon D5200 Review website, the two cameras have the same LCDs but the new one can be rotated in various angles. It might be great but this feature is only good if you are shooting movies and other related activities. It means that it is not actually usable on your daily photo shooting routines.

Memory Overload

Based on a Nikon D7000 Review, the cameras both have memory cards but the older model has two memory slots. The older version is a good choice if you want a camera with more memory. You can save pictures and video on the older version without worries so if you are a video lover, this is a great choice.

The Viewfinder

Basically, the new version only uses a cheaper viewfinder that only produce 95% coverage on each frame while the older version uses a more advance viewfinder that can produce 100%.

Continuous Shooting

The older version can shoot up to 6 frames per second and the new version can make around 5 frames per second. This is not a big difference as well so make sure that you look closely before you choose.

Price

When it comes to price, it is a bit daunting because the new one only amounts to $600 when you buy them online while the older version is about $900. When it comes to D5200 vs D7000, it will actually depend on your personal needs.
